Short version: Agely does not sell your data, does not use third-party advertising, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Agely collects linked app-owned identifiers, usage data, and diagnostics for analytics, app functionality, support, debugging, crash reporting, and reliability.
Information You Add To Agely
Agely lets you save information about people, birthdays, groups, notes, photos, and birthday notification preferences. This information is used to provide the app's core features.
Agely stores this app data on your device. If iCloud sync is available and enabled for the app, Agely syncs this app data through Apple's CloudKit service using your private iCloud account so your Agely data can be available on your devices.
The developer does not receive your contact names, birthdays, notes, photos, phone numbers, email addresses, or other contact details through Agely's analytics or crash reporting pipeline.
Analytics And Diagnostics Agely Collects
Agely collects limited linked telemetry to understand product usage, improve reliability, diagnose issues, and provide support. This telemetry may include:
- an app-generated Diagnostics User ID
- an app-generated Diagnostics Device ID
- app version, build, environment, operating system version, device type, and device model
- screen and feature usage events, such as which app areas are opened or which workflows succeed or fail
- aggregate counts, booleans, durations, coarse status values, and sanitized error categories
- crash reports, performance diagnostics, and non-fatal diagnostic events
Agely treats this telemetry as linked to you because the app-generated identifiers allow events and diagnostics to be associated with the same app user or install over time.
Information Agely Does Not Send In Telemetry
Agely's telemetry pipeline is designed not to collect or transmit:
- contact names, nicknames, relationship labels, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, URLs, or free-form contact values
- birthdays, birth years, ages for specific contacts, or raw notification dates and times
- notes text, search text, filter text, imported address-book contents, or other free-form text you enter
- photos, image bytes, image filenames, crop rectangles, or photo identifiers
- Apple ID, iCloud email address, CloudKit record IDs, IDFA, IDFV, device name, or precise location
Service Providers
Agely uses service providers to operate and improve the app:
- Apple iCloud and CloudKit provide optional sync for your Agely app data through your private iCloud account.
- PostHog processes linked product analytics, app lifecycle events, screen events, structured logs, retention analysis, funnels, paths, and related diagnostic context.
- Firebase Crashlytics processes crash reports, non-fatal diagnostics, and related crash debugging context.
These providers process data on Agely's behalf or as part of platform services used by Agely. Agely does not sell your personal information.
How Agely Uses Information
Agely uses information for these purposes:
- to provide app functionality, including local storage, iCloud sync, birthday calculations, groups, photos, settings, and notifications
- to understand app usage, retention, lifecycle behavior, funnels, paths, and feature health
- to diagnose crashes, performance issues, sync problems, and unexpected errors
- to respond to support, access, deletion, or correction requests
- to maintain app security, integrity, and operational reliability
Retention
App data stored on your device remains there until you delete it, delete the app, or change device/iCloud settings that affect storage. If you use iCloud sync, synced app data is also subject to Apple's iCloud and CloudKit behavior for your account.
Agely keeps analytics and diagnostic telemetry only as long as needed for app functionality, analytics, support, debugging, reliability, security, and operational records, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Crash diagnostic retention may also depend on Firebase Crashlytics' retention practices.
Your Choices
- You can use Agely without signing in to iCloud. In that case, your app data remains local to that install unless another device or system backup copies it.
- You can manage iCloud availability and app data sync through iOS and iCloud settings.
- You can delete app data you created inside Agely using the app's controls.
- You can request access to, deletion of, or correction of Agely telemetry associated with your Diagnostics IDs.
Access, Deletion, And Correction Requests
To make a privacy request, email privacy@agely.app. If you can open Agely, include the Diagnostics User ID and Diagnostics Device ID from Agely Settings so the correct telemetry can be located.
Do not send contact names, birthdays, photos, notes, Apple ID, iCloud email address, or other app content unless it is necessary for your request.
Children
Agely is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided information through Agely, contact privacy@agely.app.
Changes To This Policy
Agely may update this policy as the app, telemetry, sync behavior, service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
